LCB Summer Performances

Thank you for your support during our regular concert season this year. We have enjoyed performing for you. Please join us for our less-formal "concerts in the park" this summer:

Lake Lansing Concert - Lake Lansing Band Shell, Haslett, 7:00 pm, Friday, July 16

Summer Music Concert - Plymouth Congregational Church,  7:00 pm, Sunday, July 18

Special Guest: Deanna Swoboda, Tuba soloist and Tuba/Euphonium instructor at Western Michigan University

Deanna Swoboda, Tuba/Euphonium instructor at Western Michigan University is our special guest as we cover the bases musically. In addition to featuring Deanna on the program, we present a salute to baseball and present a long-lost Sousa march. It should be a wonderful conclusion to our 2009-2010 concert season, and we hope you'll join us!

The Lansing Concert Band is excited to again be a participant in the Red Cedar Festival of Community Bands, hosted by our friends of the Meridian Community Band. The Festival performance order is:

Cereal City Concert Band
DeWitt Community Band
Oakland Community College Symphonic Band
Lansing Concert Band
Livingston County Concert Band
Flint Symphonic Wind Ensemble
Sturgis Wind Symphony
Meridian Community Band
Saginaw Area Concert Band
Genesee Wind Symphony
Clarinet Connexions
Grand Ledge Community Band

The festival runs all day, with the first band performing at 9:00am, and the final group starting at 5:30pm. This is a wonderful festival featuring top quality community bands from around the state, and the LCB is proud to participate again this year.

Holiday ConcertHoliday Festival 2009

Special Guests: Sunny Wilkinson and Ron Newman
Tickets: Adults - $10, Students $5, Under 12 free, available at the door or through CPAC

We return to the beautiful Charlotte Performing Arts Center for our annual Holiday Concert, this time with special guests Sunny Wilkinson and Ron Newman. Sunny and Ron are well known jazz musicians in the area, and will lend their special expertise to our seasonal fare! We will feature Sunny on several tunes with the LCB before she and Ron perform a solo set. We will also feature a new take on some old favorites and invite you to raise your voice in a sing-along. It should be just the thing to get you and your family into the holiday spirit. We hope you'll be there!
